Healing Through the Lens of the Nervous System
Areas of Focus
I provide a deeply inclusive, trauma-forward space for adults ready to move past simply ‘managing’ symptoms. While I treat a range of challenges—including anxiety, mood stability, and complex personality and relationship patterns—trauma resolution is the core of my focus. I believe these challenges are often the nervous system’s survival responses to overwhelming life experiences.
I bring a laidback, down-to-earth, and often humorous approach to our sessions. True healing requires us to face heavy things, but it also requires a space where you can catch your breath, be entirely yourself, and even laugh. Humor and lightness are powerful tools for down-regulating a stressed nervous system.
Rather than just talking about your challenges, we work with your body’s natural resilience. My approach integrates polyvagal and somatic exercises to regulate the nervous system alongside the practical, transformative tools of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of Texas and Maine. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston, providing a rigorous academic foundation to my compassionate, evidence-based care.
